The Perry Lab
Functional and Evolutionary Genomics

Coming in 2026: The Perry Lab at MSU!
I am thrilled to be joining the Department of Integrative Biology at Michigan State University as an Assistant Professor in 2026!
I am recruiting PhD students to join the lab in Fall 2026. Research topics include the genomic mechanisms of venom variation in North American rattlesnakes, the evolution of metabolic signaling pathways underlying mammalian hibernation, the unique evolutionary and functional consequences of microchromosomes, and more. I am also seeking prospective postdocs interested in developing and leading projects within the lab.
If you are interested in learning more about these upcoming opportunities in the lab, please see more information here and get in touch!
